Pin connectors

Hello,
I’m looking for some help finding some pin connector ends for a 1982 sr5. It is for the starter solenoid harness. I have looked locally and checked with a few mechanics near by but am not having any luck.

Did a quick search, do you mean the ignition exciter? Or the solenoid that sits on the starter?

Does this help?

I am needing the pin ends inside of those green plugs. This is the harness that runs from the main harness to the passenger side of the motor for the starter solinoid and also the green plug for the oil pressure gauge or trouble light. It also has three other plugs or sensors that it attaches to.

If you can get some pics looking into the plugs you are asking about, might help with identifying which pins that go with them. If we can't find them, I would suggest either splicing the wires with a waterproof butt connector or use a Weather Pack type connector for an upgrade

I took a picture of inside the plug and also what it should look like when assembled. I also took a picture of the 1983 harness so that you might understand what I’m looking at. The larger green plug is from a 1983 harness. The small green plug with a yellow wire is the end that I’m needing the pins for. I have the other parts and pieces to rewire this. I will get a picture tomorrow of the main harness that it plugs into.
Thank you

You might be able to find one here: https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/in...7pbev3riagvh57

Maybe you can do some measurements of your old pins and compare.

I think Sumitomo made these connectors for Toyota, but I am still trying to figure that out.

I’ve looked at a lot of Toyota plugs and pin connectors, never found anything compatible available for purchase on the internet. I would just build a harness and use the Weather Pack typeconnectors for the intermediate hookup.

^^ These are probably the most practical suggestions.

I am stubborn and like the original OEM connectors. It is a good thing that none of mine are broken... yet....

TRy looking for landcruiser fj60 / FJ62 parts, they used the same style plug in the 80s. IH8MUD could be a resource or some of the LC parts depots like cruiserparts, SPecter off road, etc.

but for mine I bought a pack of 10 buildable weatherproof connectors on Amazon for pretty cheap.
