No spark, GM ignition mod swap.

Was cruising at 50 when the truck died, 82 22r weber 38 carb. It had no spark. so i replaced coil, didnt work. Then read up and tried the GM ignition module swap. Got a Ignition Module from a 1979 GM truck with a 350 CI engine Autozone P/N DR100. and a Coil from a 1972 Chevrolet k10 4wd truck with a 350 CI engine Autozone P/N C819. mounted a heatsink changed the spark plugs and wired her up. I remembered to ground the plug that went into the original module to the chassis which grounded the orig module. Now I have light spark, its so weak sometimes doesnt spark at all.... any suggestions? bad distributor too maybe?

Update

Since the GM mod, i cleaned every contact possible now the spark is strong. Still no fire, I took out the distributor to make sure it was not destroyed and the gears look good. set it back in at 11oclock and cleaned the carb. I even drained it first and then put a little fuel in to make sure it wasnt flooded. still no fire.... I also noticed that im loosing coolant, and that its being sucked into the exhaust. i drilled a hole in my muffler and its pissing out. I replaced the head gasket not to long ago, but the head was flat and in good shape. HELP please, any input....
