mild carb troubles!

83 22r, I need to know how to set the float properly on my aisin carb. The carb was rebuilt fairly recently but the float level has been to high since I bought it. the truck kind of floods while going down hills. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe

The directions that came with my rebuild kit say that the float level adjustment in figure C should be 0.413". The float drop adjustment in figure D should be 1.89"

Or by the seat of the pants method: note fuel level in sight glass on carb. Remove top of carb. Bend float tang a little. Repeat until it works like you want.

By the way, this adjustment was the same for all 22r carbs 81 - 88.

BigT - I bought the rebuild kit from Merle's. I'm not sure if they have any stores outside of Arizona.

Thanks Scottd, this info is still valuable to those of us, like me, who need to be lead by the hand for this kind of mechanical stuff. I'm doing carb reviving on my 80 pickup with an 84 engine. Been sitting almost 5 years.
