Making the Yota earn it's oats!

I know lots of people climb or drive through mud with their trucks. I haven't had much time for that yet (I love climbing rocks and trails!), but these trucks can also HAUL stuff.

I've hauled more than 2000lbs a few times this Summer (maybe 7 or 8 loads of paving base, cement, fill, etc). Or in this case, about 2200lbs of retaining wall block. I don't break the speed limit when I do this, but I don't think it hurts the truck at all. Have you hauled oversized loads with your truck?! I'd like to know how hard you've pushed it...

About 3400lbs of Detroit rust (I mean iron!) last weekend. No problems but it would have been easier with stock tires.

Hauled a little over a thousand pounds of scrap last week in my bed. Kinda scary in a soft spring, lifted, 1/2 ton pickup. haha got to bouncin from side to side more than once to the point of me needing new pants and my hands imprinted on the steering wheel.

steady hands!

When I haul big loads like the trailer full of blocks or dirt, I do try NOT to make any quick moves. Also, leave LOTs of space between me and anything ahead. It also helps to make sure that there is a little extra tongue weight.

Once I approached a stop sign too fast with the EMPTY trailer and the trailer pushed the rear wheels a little sideways! I was glad the trailer was empty, and it was a good heads-up!!!

Lots of firewood and horse manure. Sorry, I don't think I have any pictures. The truck doesn't sag as much as I expected.
