Lowering The Boat?

What's up guys, just a quick question.
I what have looks like part of a lowering kit for my truck(came with it when i got it), idk if there is parts for the front?

take a look...
lowering blocks, U-bolts..and...??????

i think those are for lifting not lowering for your truck.

If it is a 2wd it could be a lowering kit. Then it would be a spring under axle (I think). Those shackels may also lower it if they are shorter than the stock ones.

yes you can lower the truck with that. spring under axle, put the block and ubolts in just like a lift kit and magic, lowered truck. the front is lowered by altering the position of the torsion bar in the mount [clicks] just like my Alfetta.

2wd, sorry. haha...as for the torsion bars, any clue how many notches i need to move them?

i would ratchet them down 1 click at a time so you can set the front to match the rear for your desired 'rake'
but, this is from experience on other torsion bar frontends... so hopefully someone can chime in.

toyota torsions just turn.. there is no clicking. and that is a lowering kit.

you can also puchase drop spindles for the front so you don't have to crank you torsion bars...Just a FYI

Torsion

Alright, so i've got my nice little Pony LX wheels coming in pretty soon. Can i just pick up a ratchet and socket and twist these torsion bars? Or is there something special i need to do?

this would certainly keep the ride quality under control.
