Exclamation lift problems

hey guys, was installing a lift today(springs all the way around) and had some occurences........ The rear springs went on fine, however when we let the jacks down the springs pulled the rear shackles to some wierd places. Instead of angled straight up and down or to the rear, they are pulled forward, almost like the springs are too short? Still in the process of the front. Any support on the rear springs would be relieving.

The lift is from rough country suspensions out of tennessee. Put their kit on my ford bronco when i had it, and it was great. So far this kit is sucking wind.

springs came with attached shims, sort of difficult to install backwards. But we looked at it anyways, and they're on right. It just puts the shackles in the back in a position that will make it ride like a two horse buggy.

For Wabbit: Springs are pretty much same length, but arch is difference between night and day

That explains your problem right there. You would have been better off with some blocks IMO.

Thanks for that, any advice? Should I be that concerned about the shackle position or just see what happens when I drive/wheel it? And the front......ever lift one? Steering/axle wrap bar...anything that I should be aware of? Be easy, I'm a converted Ford guy.

They will probably settle but if your shackle is pushed forward...it doesn't sound good. Driving it will be a harsh ride I imagine. Wheeling it will be a nightmare. Get a refund and make a trip to Alabama and lets put you on a real lift from WabFab.

I might be in jail. If push come to shove, I'll feed this junk they call a lift back to this company. Been looking at old man emu, or perhaps allpro if I hit the lottery. What else do you make?

Are you sure you don't have the fronts on the rear? many springs are labled "front" only to show direction for instalation not position on vehicle. Front springs should be a little shorter than the rears.

Check this thread - the guy did a Rough Country suspension successfully. Maybe he can give you some install/setup tips.
