wondering if an l45 tranny, from the original drivetrain from my 80 pickup 4x4, will work on the 22re that im swapping in.

 

I did a 22re swap in my 80 and im currently running an L52 Tranny. I think youd be alright with the L45. My tranny was rebuilt and overall i am happy with the setup. I will say though that at times the tranny can be a little sensitive and just needs a little finessing. I am always extra nice when downshifting too.
