Intro

Hi, I've been a member for a bit and just been lurking and gaining as much knowledge as possible. I have a first gen, 1981 SR5 4x4. I've had it for about three years have not really done a thing to it. It's got 129,999 on the odometer and has been stuck there ever since I got it so idk how many miles are really on it. It does have a rebuilt motor that I have all the paper work on and a weber carb and pacesetter header from the PO, all the rest is stock.

I know I know, where are the pics right? I will have some up hopefully tomorrow.

Now I am wondering where I could possible find replacement lenses for the front turn signals, the clear corners on the bezel and sidemarkers on the truck. I have looked on eBay and that's about the most luck I've had so any help would be appreciated.

It's still a bit dark out for pics so waiting on that...meanwhile I was waiting for work this morning and I was looking around in the glove box at paperwork and the PO has all the receipts for the rebuilt 22R, it is all from spring 2005. Will be getting pics up of those as well...either way hopefully a future build will be on the way. Rust isn't too bad at all, from what I've inspected just surface rust and two rot thru spots in the cab floor...where most rot typically starts.

As for build, I am aiming to keep it towards a DD with off road use as well...more like some trail and hunting and fishing...not gonna go for a full blown trial or climbing rig.

Those first gens are hard to find down here. When you do, nobody sells them. The one when you do find are in really bad shape. That one just looks like a little cosmetics. Good find.

Thanks for the help, I will go to the local yota dealer and check some pricing...eBay might be a bit better on the pocketbook.

Muddpigg...the "oops" had me lol. It happens man but bet you wouldn't change a thing.

Anyone know how much lift OME springs would add and what duty should I look into since it DD and some trail and haul elk or deer outta the mountains from time to time.
