Hello all, new to the forum but have already read a lot of useful information!! you guys are great!!

Here is the deal, I have an 83 4x4 truck 5 speed ( L52) 22R.

my truck was sitting for 6 months while I was away on a work assignment, when I started the truck it felt as tho it was still in gear?? and making a slight whyning sound, then when i push in the clutch it goes away.. so I thaught my clutch went out.

So I replaced the master and slave, installed a new clutch and everything else that should be replaced when your in there... fired up the truck and it is doin the same thing... in nuetral it still feels like it is in gear...and when I try to drive it clunks into gear after giving it some gas, then it seems like it won't go into any other gear unless I am at a dead stop??

what could have happened just sittin here?? if it is the tranny then I guess I will start huntin for another L52??

did u replace the throw out bearing? and pilot bearing? that
could be the noise, as for going into gear, i went thru 3 sets of master and slave cylinders before i finally got a set that worked properly

 

Yes sir... I replaced everything!! just seems like it is stuck in gear until i shift to another gear then give it gas to pop out of the previous gear???
