I really like that truck. Someday when my 83 is no longer my DD, it may become a mini version of yours. A little smaller tires and probably no lift, but same idea.

check your motor mounts...or the water was deep enough you sucked the fan into the radiator

Last year I barely dipped my fan into the water and it hit the rad.

Check body mounts too.
I see heeps flexing their fans into the rad all the time but not so much with Toys.

yeah i went out to sevenmile thats the rock garden.climed up on to some of the rocks.great fun.i didn't notice the radiator problem till i got out where the dirt road ends to unlock my hubs.i hit the rock garden first, then did some hill climing.then the only mud left at the south end of the park.my truck reaks!!!! like swamp.as i was leaving i did a dougnut near the parking lot and i think the locker made the motor mounts flex enough to hit the radiator, but it could have been the water.new mounts on the bench goin in this weekend.kinda sucks though it was a $150.00 dollar
trip to the orv park.new radiator, oil change, filter, and plugs.now im having carb problems wont idle worth a dam.made it to the cenex station to refill radiator and some crap on the header caught fire hade to use the fire extinguiser.all in all it was great fun good times with my daughter.she had a blast.so i called the wife from the station to tow me home (paid $29. with tax from harbor freight)towed the rig great. glad i bought it.

Curious to see what you find on your motormount (if that was the issue)
one of mine was split about 3/4 of the way thru:

replaced them with something a bit stouter Trail Gear mounts :

wivey got these for me for my b-day. she is awesome

between these solid mounts and my solid transfer case mounts it is gonna be a rough ride vibration wise...

one idea is to use a chain on the motor mount too in case one breaks:

its hard to tell if the mounts are bad just by looking at them mounted on the rig they have this bell type deal on them must be some kind of protection for it.but ill check them out when i get them out.
oc better get a dental checkup on those fillings(heh heh)
