okay, so no one cares about overpriced Yota's or the topic is spent... so here's something that might help keep this thread alive. I know many of us have or have had some pretty sorry looking shift boots. Which happens over the course of thirty years. Unless someone knows of another source, I found a website that makes genuine leather shift boots for just about any make of vehicle. Could seem pricey for just a shift boot, but the quality is legit and actual leather. Keep in mind you have to have the bottom clip from your original boot for these to work an install. But once in... it sure looks nice.

Here's the Link if anyone is interested.

And here's my fresh new leather shift boot.

Nice booty!

Nah, this threads going to be around for a while. It just goes in phases, and now that it's summer, people (hopefully) aren't on the internet as much.

Yeah, I'm glad to see these prices going up. If I cleaned up my truck's body a little, I think it could go for quite a bit more than I paid for it 5 years ago. Probably not for as much as I've put into it, though..

I can see 10K for a really clean 4x4 but clean non-rusty 2x4s are not nearly as hard to find. Since they're only 2 wheel drive I'd imagine the didn't see mud or snow at all really, so they would not have much if any rust.

I had the shell off today to get a few yards of dirt. Wish I didn't always need the shell, I like seeing the truck without it much more.

Still holds about 1000 lbs no problem even with the lift. These tires have really stiff sidewalls, hardly bulge at all with the extra 1000 lbs, I do have like 30 psi in them though.

So what does anyone think about selling my cab and bed? I decided I'm gonna do a body swap with a 4runner on my frame. Think it's worth my while to try and sell my 82 cab and frame or junk it. It's a long bed bobbed and there is no rust so I would hate to just waste it. What should it be worth possibly if I do sell it?

Damn, I f I could afford to do a cab and bed before I do an engine, I would buy it from you. It may not sell quick, but I would bet that it would sell. There are constantly people rolling yotas.

Definitely worth money, especially if it comes with a title. Do not junk it, you'll kick yourself later.

Keep and store the cab and bed for resale.
Title?? The cab and bed don't need a title.

If he has the 4runner title, then selling the cab with the title only increases its value. Someone building a truggy from scratch would love a title to make it road legal.

Ya I want a 4runner with a title and I'll title it as that then I can sell my cab and bed with a title.

Lookin' good SCToy, why do you "always" need the shell on? just curious.

@Travis, yeah I bet you could get some decent $ for the cab and bed. Escpecially no rust in WA?
