Fuse block interchange?

I'm trying to track down why my tail lights don't work, and I thought I'd start with the obvious, the fuse. It turns out that not only is the fuse missing, the contacts for the fuse are completely broken off. So, I'm off to the junkyard tomorrow to find a good fuse block.

Will any 1979-1983 Toyota truck fuse block work?

I just got back from the junkyard, the two 1983 trucks there both had fuse blocks set up for ATO/ATC blade style fuses. My 1981 has the AGC glass fuses, and a few less fuses than the 83s. I found a 1976 Corolla, but it only had 8 fuses. Oh well, I did find some pieces for my rear slider window, the little rubber bumpstops for the hood and some fasteners.

thats ok ... they are still interchangeable ..

If your going to replace the fuse block .. you have to pull the "pins" .. and they will just re-connect into the new "style" block ..
lots of work , but it can be done .
Nice you found some other pieces anyway

If I had $100 to spare, I think I would do this:

Most of my wiring is hacked/trashed, so maybe I should.

Good to know about pulling the pins in the block. I was going to just cut the wires, and start splicing.
