Factory brush guard?

Before:

After:

I found this brush guard on craigslist. The only thing wrong with it beside the dent in the front is it's missing the second set of braces/brackets that attach to the same bolts that hold the bumper. It will get straightened and painted when I paint my truck.

Anyone have any idea what brand the brush guard is?

No such thing as a factory brush guard. That thing looks like it would break if you hit anything more than some brush with it...Not sure what brand it is, pretty hard to tell from that photo but a lot of companies made them.

Yeah, it's more of a shopping cart guard! The front end of my truck is just so cherry, I gotta protect it.

I've thought about the same thing. I spent a decent amount of time & money on my grill/headlights and all that, so I should probably protect them a bit. A head on collision is one thing, but with a small deer, or low speed accident something like that may actually protect things.

I just sold this thing today to someone with a GMC Jimmy, so it's custom front bumper time for me!

There are factory bush bars from Toyota, but only for the rest of the world. Toyota could not import them into Canada/America because of they did not meet the ridiculous DOT standards. But you are right about that specific bush bar not being factory, that is after market or custom.

The bar on your truck is a "modified" Warn Winch Bar produced in the 80's and you need more parts then just the brackets you are talking about. I had a complete unit on my truck for a short while. Believe it or not when all of the parts were bolted together with the winch plate it was pretty strong. A hardtopped jeep lost it in front of me during a bad snow storm and when I hit him I took his front fender and door off. The only thing that happened to my truck was that I cracked a headlight. I used my winch to pull him off to the side of the road.
