I have personally cut off the skirts , sand blasted , sealed .. put on BRAND new skirts .. sealed , welded and coated ..
the rust was back "bubbling" in a year . I spent over a grand in the repair parts , and I did all the work myself .. WASTE of time and especially -- money .

Do you suspect that re-welding or spotting the panels back together is the cause of the re-rust appearing? What are your thoughts on bonding the panels? After all you mentioned above, just adhesive bond the panels. I do insurance claims and frequent repairs shops. Over the years, qtr panels, rr body, door skins, etc. are bonded together. I wonder if this might eliminate re-rusting? Just my .02. Aloha.
