cracked spring hanger

ok I was out working on my 83 and noticed my spring hanger is cracked on the front driver side above the bolt. I was looking int a new hanger from trail-gear but I was curious to know how much lift it will give me. I dont want to go any higher than 3-4" of lift and I already have 2" lift shackles and I was thinking of getting some 2" lift springs from NWOR or maybe selling my shackle and buy a shorter set and get the trail-gear 3" springs. what do you think? I want as litttle amount of lift as possible cuz I just want to be to high enough to clear for high steer

Most of the spring hanger kits lower the front mount an inch or so from stock, so around 1/2" of lift. This works well with a longer spring shackle since you negate part of the axle tilt the shackle gave you. I dropped my front hanger 2.5" and run a 3.5" longer than stock shackle and that gives me most of my lift up front, springs are nearly flat.

Pictures on the web page below:

And a dropped front hanger adds clearance for the high steer drag link and tie rod.
