I have a 82 pickup that had/has the small plastic mirrors. until the driver side broke off. Im looking for replacements on the inter web and found a set very similar to the ones i have but they say they are for the 2nd gen trucks this mirrors in question are these.

The eBay compatibility chart states they wont. But we should all know by now that, that is just a load of crap

 

If it a load of crap why haven't you ordered them?

 

I don't know if they will work, all I know is that the eBay compatible thing isn't all ways completely true. Hence the thread. I need to know I don't want to have to drill new holes if I don't have to.

 

If you will measure your holes I'll measure my mirrors. I have a set I got off eBay. I ended up getting west coast mirrors instead.

Alright so I measured the with of the holes. They come out at 2 3\4 inches.

 

Score. The eBay mirrors measure 2 3/4" I have some pics on my iPhone but I could not find this thread to post them. This is a BUMP so I can find it.

Okay. Here are the pix. Not sure why photobucket took HOURS to show my uploads. The mirror bodies are plastic. IMO they are a decent substitute for OEM mirrors.
