Best 22R Rebuild Kit
I've just got done breaking down and cleaning the 22R out of my 83 Pickup and will be shooting everything over to the machine shop later this week. I was looking for advice on who to buy from and who to stay away from in regards to rebuild kits. Any input??

Stock rebuild or bore out and bigger valves ect? Either way I like LCE. The only gripe I have ever heard about any of their stuff was the price.
If you're doing a stock rebuild I'd search for oem stuff and find best price on that.

I had the cylinders mic'ed at the machine shop and the bore was borderline between going with standard and .020" over so I'm going to go ahead and bore it out .020" just to be safe.
The machine shops around here want around $200 to do the millwork on the head so I'm just going to go ahead and get a remanufactured head for about $350. I figured that I'd be into it for at LEAST $325 after millwork, valve guides, valve seals, valves and valve springs and then I'd still have to reassemble it so I might as well just go with the reman. Saves some time and possibly money.
