Have you checked the dealership? I wouldn't advise running a junker fuel pump.
Late 20R engines had an electric in-tank pump, and any dealership worth its salt would know that and where to find one.
However, a 79-80 head will have bosses for a mechanical fuel pump. As a Plan B, you can tap those bosses and convert to mechanical.

As far as the rest of your post. Are you looking for a new transmission as well?
Have you looked into having a local shop rebuild your current one? That was my decision a year back, and it was the best 1200 bucks I've ever spent in my life.

Holy crap use a period here and there!

Seriously.

Rock auto sells fuel pumps. And the dealership. And Napa.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?ck[mkt_MX]=false&ck[mkt_CA]=false&ck[mkt_EU]=false&ck[mkt_US]=true&ck[year_1993]=true&ck[idlist]=0&ck[ID]=0&ck[viewcurrency]=USD&ck[PHP_SESSION_ID]=s006mjrtpgjdodcaenduggn0d2

Pretty common knowledge with people who know Toyotas that some 20R engines had electric fuel pumps.

I would never search for a fuel pump in a junkyard.

Engine and tranny? You want rebuilt or used? Used = craigslist and internet classifieds, or asking around town. Rebuilt there are places online, or probably places locally.

Rock auto link isn't going all the way...choose Toyota, 1980, pickup and fuel/air. Fuel pump. You'll see that 1980 offered mechanical, electric in-line pump and electric in-tank pump.
