Wanting to know if anyone is putting a different cam in the 22r or is better just to use the stock one. what is the best cam for a truck that has 33s on it?

 

Carb'd or fuel injected? I have a carb'd 22r and I run a cam I got from engnbldr. I'm extremely happy with it. Its just a mild cam. If you run to big of a cam with fuel injection, you can run into runability issues due to the low vacuum, but a mild cam (RV) should be good. Oh yeah, I run 35's and 4.10 gears.

I run the 261c engnbldr in my 22RE, it's nice and pulls hard.

The guys that have changed to the 261 did you notice any difference in gas mileage?

 

I guess I'm the only one that runs a comp cam on this site. The link for the specs on mine are in my sig. Decent power, but will lobe like crazy at idle. Love it!
