after market radio placement

anybody else install theirs like this? I have another 79/80 dash piece to replace this one when its time. like to see other ideas.

What about speaker placement without butchering anything? I'd like something behind the seat but nothing I've tried fits.

Lost my camera but i left the dash unmolested and mounted it under the glove box. I put a metal bar that mounted to some screw holes under the glove box that mated to the head unit case. you defenitly need a controller if you do this....not good leaning over and going off the road.

the speakers are in a storage box that has a door that folds down to hold stoof.

does the seat go all the way back. I like the radio under the dash. I did that in a 71 olds I had. Whenever I find a 2 knob unmolested dash I get excited. I know I cut my fair share of them in the 80's and 90's when DIN mount hit the stage lol

If you look at my album "My Toy" you can see my Kenwood installation. The amps are under the seats, the rear speakers are mounted low on the rear pillars, the disc changer is mounted on the passenger side lower rear wall, the front speakers are mounted on the lower front doors and the radio is mounted in the stock location. The system sounds really good and if you wanted to turn up the volume it will blast you out of the cab. Seat movement is unaffected.
