Anyone know which connector is for the O2 sensor? There are two four pin connectors that go out to the trans area, one wire is short and one is long. Any help would be awesome!

Well I’ve been driving the truck for a few days now, and I could not be happier! The power is perfect, and I think its all I will ever need. Stepping on the gas is getting to be addicting. For anyone thinking about doing this... DO IT!!

Still some kinks to iron on out, but I’m just gonna enjoy driving it for a few more days before I keep working on it. Only code I am getting is a crank position sensor out of limit. Which considering how much stuff I deleted it pretty amazing to me. Stoked!!

Awesome, glad it could help someone! Where are you at on your swap? I honestly don’t know what truck my engine came from, I put out a wanted ad on CL and someone had one in their backyard. The trans I got from someone elses backyard in unknown condition. I already had dual cases in the truck so I kept those. I would highly recommend finding a donor truck and taking everything you need from it. But it can definitely done the way I did, just gets a bit spendy.

Im nowhere on it. Getting a used but running 20r to throw in for now then who knows.
ive seen a couple rusted tacos with bad frames but still kinda pricey for my cheap project truck.
ive been driving 3rzs at work th3se days and they can pull for a 4cyl. I also like how the trucks are geared too. 1st and 2nd seem way longer than the L series in my 80 and whatever i have behind the 5zve in my t100.

But the more i look at it, the price for a swap vs rebuilding a 20r, it makes sense to swap

I wanted to ask you about how you hooked up the reverse light switch? I have a 1980 that has a 3RZ/w59. The original harness for the truck has a red/blue wire for the reverse lights which is currently not connected to anything on my truck. But the 3rz harness is pretty much all wired up and the truck runs and drives. The harness plug for the reverse light switch on the trans is plugged in (using the plug from the 3rz harness) I'm just trying to figure out the best way to connect the original red/blue wire to the new harness.
