83 22r wont run

so i just had the head in my truck rebuilt with all new exhaust valves because they were burnt due to my truck running way lean possible causes vaccumm leak but i think it was the base plate for the carburetor it looked pretty crappy. Anyways i got it a ll back together and the truck will start and idle for a couple secs then it dies cant figure it out i was wondering if the most likely possibilty is the carburetor it seems like its running out of gas. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks.

Give it a good spray with carb cleaner... I don't know a lot about them but it's worth a shot something might just be gummed up. Will it run with the gas down?

Sounds a bit like the solenoid to me, too. If it is plugged in, maybe unplug it & test it if you have the equipment.
