3:90,4:10,4:88,5:29 was all an option from the factory i believe.
most came with 4:10's though.
theres a way to tell my the numbers on the firewall under the hood, but im not sure how.
someone will tune in.

5.29's were never a factory option.

4.88 can be found too.. they where in the sr4 4runners.. came wit bigger tires an a fancy package (an a few years on the pu i think).. theres other gear ratios wit the auto trans, usually a little lower.. and theres apparently some odd ratios they made..

^^ how would that apply to a 1st Gen truck?

3.90's were 81's...Undetermined gears, best way to find out is pull a third and count ring gear divide by pinion..

Ya, sorry... didnt mean on his truck ...
ya, he's more or less got the 3.90 or 4.11 right?.... but I think his whole point was to not have to pull it.... which is what the site info is for.. but pullin is still the for sure best way to be certain

hey guys thank you all for the help, i pulled out my third and counted the teeth and found out that my truck has 4.11's. i didnt really want to but i lost my crank so i decided i might as well just do it and put in my lockers and some 5.29's.
