81 22r No spark

No spark, No blinking light from timing light when turned over on any plug wire. Everything specs out with coil, igniter, pick-up coil, distributor turns when cranked. Rotor turns clockwise and springs back, no slop in distributor shaft

Fuses under dash look good. There not many of them. Where would others be? Ideas?

There is some relay in the distributer that can go bad. It'll turn either way since there's a gear going into the cam. If you have a service manual it may tell you how to test it. Beyond that, I'm not sure...

getting power to the igniter?
getting power to the dizzy from the igniter?
all you need for spark is a 12v constant power source, and if youre not getting it, then something is wrong with either the coil, or the distributor, or the wiring..

How do you know the coil etc. is good? have you checked the relays? let us know how you checked what you checked and get a service manual, they'll be a life saver for many problems down the road.

The dizzy turns, cap and rotor is new, power to igniter, power from the igniter. I tried a new coil. I have the service manual. I ohmed the components as directed. I replaced the pick-up coil. No spark from coil.

There are no other relays I am aware of other than the dash fuse for engine. I have looked in the service manual for other relays or fuses and see nothing. I will look again.

I had this problem where the igniter, dizzy and coil all ohmed out correctly and no spark....I found a good dizzy and igniter on craigslist and stuck them in and no problem....

"No blinking light from timing light when turned over on any plug wire."

Focusing on the wiring between the Distributor and Igniter.

Wiring is good. The transitor did not test out. Will replace and report back.

The igniter was the problem.

Good work! That's what my problem was when I had no spark. I would have mentioned it but you said in your first post that it tested out ok.

They're pricey little things!
