34's or 35's how much lift???

i just got my 80 pickup swapped to a 22r and am ready to lift, how much is enough to run 34's or 35's. i am not afraid to cut body, i want a solid trail truck, it doesnt have to be pretty, i have a small lift on it now i think, it is on 31's with room to spare.
any must have stuff i should know about? i am a former jeeper but always love these things so i now i got one.
thanks for the help

that's what everybody that's new to '79-83 toys assumes about these trucks, that what they've got is lifted -- you can fit 33s with a little rubbing in the back with no lift! i'd do a 2" body lift and cut the fenders if necessary if you don't want to screw with the suspension for the 34s.

35s will fit with a 3" lift, no problem.

that makes sense since i just got a parts truck and it looks like its lifted also....
so if i would go with like a 3 suspension lift that would be more than enough then....

this is a pic of my 82 yota with a 3" skyjacker lift in the front with 31"s and you can see how much room there is between the tires and fender so like kyle22r said, 35" will fit NO PROBLEM

i got the wiring solved lastnight (grounds)
so yeah i am thinking about just putting rears up front and running that way on 35 with some cutting to keep it low.

If you keep the tires skinny, rims narrow and only enough backspacing to clear the springs at full lock, you can fit 34's pretty easily. I had Q78's on mine with virtually no lift, just a fair ammount of cutting and clearancing of the firewall.
