seen lots of people do it..you should be fine..i think you just cant air down very much..8" wide rims are best suited for 10.50-12.50 tires..bigger than 12.50 and go to a 10in wide rim..or even 12 or 14" wide..lol

May have to shop around to find a shop that will mount them for you as 7"-8" rim is probably the recommended width from the tire mfg. Only thing to watch for is finding a pressure that gives you even tread wear.
