You're in Alaska and I'm in Chandler AZ and shipping the whole diff to me is rather pricey. You should be able to get the inner pinion bearing on by dropping the bearing in boiling water. It should tap on much easier that way.
But if you want to send me the bearing I'll press it on for free......it's getting it off that you need to consider. You might have to if you change pinion shims. I would think though that if you put about .101" on with the bearing that it will be close enough.

Ha! I just checked what sending your 65 pound 3rd .....just from me to you in Anchorage is $265! Kinda pricey for sure.
