I have been ruining the Pro Comp ES9000 for about 30,000 miles, and I'm very pleased.

On road they are a bit stiff and, combined with my skyjacker leafs, make for a bit of a rough ride. But the keep me from bouncing every where in the cab.

Doing creek runs I love them, babes are the bumps without problems, and they help reduce the body rolls during the quicker turns.

going to rocks and trails I've been very happy with them. They let me flex really easy but at the same time take the abuse of the harder hits.

I also like how durable they are. not only have they gone through the abuse of my daily off roading, but they've also held up great after being damaged. the shock mount for my front axle broke and the shop in the getting crushed between my steering knuckle any actual itself. after repairing the mountain replacing it worked fine until I bought a new 1.

overall I think these are great set of shocks and I'd happily buy them again.

I bought them through 4wheelparts, 40.99 each, and worth every penny. I believe all travel lengths are the same price, this link was just the first one to come up.

 

I have always liked the Es9000's had them on quite a few vehicles in the past, and I would not hesitate to buy them again.

 

how does one determine the length they need? It looks like there are at least 3 different lengths.

I have a 90 4runner, right now stock height with rear sag, looking one day in the next few months to put on either some LC coils or OME with the ball joint spacer. More than likely the smaller OME coils.

 

I don't truly know. What I did was called the Sacramento store, and told him the distance from mount to mount with my truck at rest, and he was able to tell me the length I needed.

 

what did you pay for the set? and how do they feel when hardcore clawing/flx? stiff soft? just right?

 

Set was about $75 when I bought them. To me they are just right, they allow a lot of flex, but support the rig durring fast runs.

I'm gna try them for my 93 pickup 2wd 22re because had two sets of es3000 shocks- first set lasted 6 years, this set lasted just over 1 year ! And the es9000 are Nitrogen gas charged vs hyrdaulic for 1000 and 3000 models. Never replaced rear shocks for almost 10 years= will put Tokico Trekmaster I have in my garage (only used 8 months-still new). Need some stiff shocks in rear as stock leafs are too soft. Bought the 3000 as ProComp rep and store reps told me will be too stiff for my light truck (es9000). But going to return them and just use my Tokico Trekmaster (which also came with boots that fit just right-not universal over-sized fit)

 

yes 4wheelparts.com has es9000 for $40.99 but now 10% off and can do in-store pickup (live in SoCal) May ask procomp what can do as fronts-es3000= only lasted 1 year 5 months !

 

I have an 84 Toyota P/U stock suspension and would really like too put a 3 inch lift on. I picked out pro comp lift springs and es9000 shocks (after reading up on them).But I wasnt sure whether or not shocks meant for a 4 in lift will work with a 3 in lift.
