I spent the weekend reading the exploits of Charlie Wenzel. Sorry to say, I think that I was screwed!
I left two messages for topless4runner today, but got no response. I don't know why I am giving him the benefit of the doubt, I know that he has read my PMs, I know that he is reading my emails, I know that he is reading this forum.
So, tomorrow, I am contacting the RCMP to see what legal actions can be taken.
He (you) have until tomorrow to contact me and make this right.

I just sent him this e-mail, hopefully others did too! this is so bogus!

"give the guy his top or his money! This is totally rediclous, how would you like it if you sent someone $600 in good faith to receive a product, and never got it. Have some morals! DO THE RIGHT THING!!!"

Charlie Wenzel was crucified for less money although he spewed stupidity and paid a far heavier price. In that case Wenzel made his mistake on Pirate: like basting himself in BBQ sauce for a pack of wolves. Hopefully some of the members to the North have the capacity to track this guy down with his info posted. Get numbers, parents names, kindergarten photos, video surveillance and such. Basically, turn his life upside down and shake your money out of his pockets. But in all seriousness: people like this have some trust in mankind that people won’t go beyond reasonable means to make right.

If there is not a message on my machine tomorrow morning, his info will be posted, and we'll take it from there.....Thanks

I sent him an e-mail telling him to get with the program. I think that if some others did the same we could get his attention.

Talked with the RCMP today. They can't do anything until I file a report with New Orleans PD. This is because the transaction was online so the origin of the sale is my computer. NOPD can then ask RCMP to assist in the case.
I will file later today. It will be classified as fraud. This is something that they do not take lightly.

So this guy is a member of YT?? It should stand that if he in fact is found legally to be a fraud he will also lose his membership here. We ban spammers. We also ban folks who break the law against another member.

I want to read the charlie Wenzel incident. Linky? (or will some one sum up?)

Nevermind (I had missed reading the first page)

Just got done with NOPD. They said that because it went across national boundaries, it is a federal offense....

$600 is not a light sum.

I should have done the same thing when i got screwed on the MR2 wing. But I didn't, and it cost me.

I hope the police get him for your money and then some.

I totally scammed this guy for an ipod, but when I woke up today, all my accounts were banned, my computer was full of horse porn, and there is 15 thousand spoons stuck in my front lawn!

Wow- I would be a little nervous if I was him. I would shudder if I knew my name was tied to any criminal activity being investigated by the FBI.

Better man up Jeff!

The key difference is he hasn't responded here.

So either:

A. He is a total idiot/A-hole who thinks this will all "blow over"
B. He is not recieving the messages (I find i hard to believe he doesn't respond to repeated PM's, Phone calls, and emails)
C. Banana

At any rate, once the feds get ahold of him there wont be any "sorry here is your $600 back"

A smart man would ship the top, or pay the money back. And a REAL man would respond, and not come up with any stupid excuses about his mom dying, or kids getting cancer, or any other stupid lame excuse that doesn't justify not making a 5 minute phone call.

I pity the fool.

Playing devils advocate. He could be in the hospital but he did log on in early March so....

I really hope that if he is not indisposed that he mans up and does the right thing. Otherwise Trial by YT jury!

Yes, he logged on in early March, but he told me that the top was done on November 5th! He was paid in full on 11/14/07....and then on 12/6/07, he fell off the face of the Earth.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a long time...4 emails with no response, 3 PMs with no response, 2 phone calls with no response, between 12/1 and now. I know that two of the PMs were read.
At what point do I stop dicking around and hoping that he shows up?
Believe me I didn't want to go this far with it, and the reason I took so long is that I have faith in people but $659.17 is a lot of money for me to lose or be cheated out of.
He pushed me over the edge by not even acknowledging any communication.
