the first view of the tuft formations- 13 miles in, 2-1/2 hours past Hanson's mill...

the road isn't that rocky, just slow going. We'd seen several groups of hunters on quads- it would be a blast on a dirt bike or quad, lots of moguls

we had hoped to see some wildlife- but I guess w/ the hunters around, most of the critters were in hiding.

I've gone thru there on HWY 149 years ago (in fact it was with my parents, before I could drive) and wanted to go visit, but we didn't. Isn't that off a road called "telephone pole road" or "pool table road" or something unique like that?

yup, Pool Table Road-

From the small amount of time we've spent in the area, there are dozens if not hundreds of roads/trails to explore. That's my kinda wheelin'! Something new around every corner.....
