I completely agree. Both Tellico trips have been so amazing largely because of the people involved. I would jump at the opportunity to wheel with each and every one of y'all any time. I'm definitely looking forward to the next trip, and hoping it's very soon!!

Can do! Will do! Done! I'll bring a cardboard box to put over it next time to muffle the sound and work on my flavor recipes in the meantime so my arsenal can include more than just chocolate!

Nice pics Alison!

Talking Fall Return Trip

So, when do you guys want to try and go back? Alabama's off week is the weekend of Halloween, so that is out since I'll be playing trick or treat w/ my boys. Anything earlier in October or in early November look good to you? I think September is too soon and Dec would be too cold, besides the holidays, so let's hear some possibilities.

Ernie,

Get in touch with Zac A.S.A.P. and let's hit Gardendale real soon!

Brian, I found a cheapo solution to those bent control arms we have:

What a simple mod!

I wonder what size angle that is and if he welded it up top or on the bottom side. Seems like putting it on the bottom would just make it hit more as it reduces the clearance. I'll have to get with SteveO and see exactly what he did.

That should be on the bottom, like a control arm slider I guess.

1" x 1" angle welded to the bottom is what SteveO did.

I did this mod a long time ago using 1x1"x3/16" angle iron. It's a great mod, and I did it after I bent the hell ouf mine. I put mine on the bottom, and let's just say they are scraped hard along the entire underside of it. Well worth it!

Chris did it, looks like a worthy and needed mod. I'll probably be doing that soon before mine are bent anymore.

Here's the few pics I took on our trip:

Chris

P.S. Hey Brett, I'd highly recommend doing that mod if you plan to continue wheeling places like Tellico. You'll drag them all the time, that's for sure.

Chris, I now think that mod is a must. My drivers side is already bent, so I'll have it done before the next run. Post some pics of your control arms if you don't mind.

Here's some pics Brett! You'll notice how banged up they are:

Hope that helps to show how much this mod will save them.

Yep, looks like it works. Your gas tank is worse than mine, my control arm mounts look similar to yours.
