Snow in SOCAL!

Not really a trail report but just wanted to show that it does snow in San Diego area. Alittle.

The wife and I heard that it was snowing in MT Laguna so we headed up there to see and let the little one play in it for a bit. Not a lot of snow but only being 45min from the beach I'll take it.

Met up with some friends today in octillo wells, the mountains were beutiful and Julian was one big traffic jam even though there wasnt snow in town. I think the snow level was about 4500 feet.

Yeah we did the lunch in Julian and play in Laguna thing. We got there at about 1045 so no real traffic issues yet. By the time we left it was insane though (1200). Perfect timing.

Thanks!
Yes I have the Stubbs Deluxe sliders on there. I mounted them a bit too high so it is tough to see them from some angles. I am doing a 1" BL this weekend and that should fix that. Some times they hit the pinch weld when flexed out or when I support the vehicle on them.

I think you will get use to it and end up liking them more. One thing I did to mine that was very helpful was to get 1" 3M non-skid tape from Home Depot and stick it to the top of the outer tube. Keeps them from getting slippery when wet. I put mine a little inboard (towards the door sill) of perfectly on top so as to avoid sanding off my skin on the inside of my lower legs when getting in and out with shorts on.

I actually stand on mine a lot to wash the roof and take bikes and surf boards off racks.

i just put that tape on mine yesterday.. well the drivers side, but the rain stopped me from doing the pass. side...

glad to hear they help.

thats a good point, once i put my surco rack on, those sliders will help a lot as far as reaching things up there or putting things back in...

More snow in So Cal.

Light dusting on the Rincon Trail from Azusa 39 up to Mt Wilson.

Sorry, it's not a Yota!

I think I will have the same problem, I only have about 1/4" between the trimmed pinchweld and the slider. How much do these deflect?

Nice pics! I can't wait to get my stubbs sliders. Putting the spare into the loadwarror rack is a task and a half without sliders! haha
