I’m up for hitting the trails again anytime. I still have the tape with the video on it I just can’t upload it to my PC.

 

Hum, this seems to be a problem with mine too. Anyone want to volunteer to edit the video I took since I can't seem to get my tape and pc to talk? It is on digital 8 tape. I will mail the 2 tapes to you.

 

Mine too! If someone could figure this out, it sure would cut down on the uploading time.

I could probably do it pretty quickly, but I would need your camera and USB cable too, as I don't have a device that accepts the digi-8 tapes. If you can be without the cam for a couple days, and trust me (you know, we're a questionably trustworthy bunch...), I could at least get 'em on my computer and up on my server, and then you could just download 'em and edit 'em from there.

I'll be in Selma tomorrow, and would be willing to drive on down toward "that other school's town" to pick it up if you want.

 

The camera I had wasn't a digital camera so I have to use a video capture card to get the video on my PC. I'm going to look into your's and Chris' camera prob. a little more.

I'll get back to you if I get anything.

 

If you want I can download dig 8 from my end as long as its sony camera format.

 

Dang, I was in Selma yesterday. Selma is about 1 hr 45min from Auburn. I'll reply again tonight. I don't know how to do the editing w/o doing it straight from the tape? If you download all the tape I have as one file or even 10 files, they will be huge files. They probably need to be edited as they are transferred from camera-the files are so much bigger than the files from taking video with one of the small digital picture cameras.
