Wheeled "The Rock" Columbus Rock Crawling Course

The manager of http://www.theroc4x4.com/ invited Me and Vince out today to play on the course and see how it's coming along. Big thanks to Marc Rieser for the invite, he used his buggy to test the obsticles. Made our trucks look really small too

Great day and Marc was an excellent host, showing us everything and all the plans. Rock crawling in Columbus and the Nationals will be here in October. Vince and I volunteered to serve as judges for the envents and use our trucks as recovery vehicles.

Here's a couple pics,

Rest of the pics can be seen here, What a kick arse day for sure. This place is about 10 minutes from my house.

Im not a fan of concrete courses, but it still looks interesting. Amazing how fast the midwest has taken off over the past couple years in terms of rockcrawling.

I'm amazed at what these guys have put into this facility. It will be top notch for sure. Know what you mean about the manmade stuff, but lots of planning and thought has gone into the design. The concrete is like a slickrock almost and spinning tires is easy to do. Traction is sick. They have this rock garden there that was just huge. Plans are to have something there for all the levels to try and spark local interest.

The size of this stuff is unreal. HUGE!

Yeah, who'd a thought they would pick Columbus to build a site like this, I'm just as amazed as everyone thats' for sure. I've got some tickets for the first event, have to hook you up with a couple.

Well, you know the MidWest is America's Left Coast We just keep a good attitude and look for opportunity..so far the Wheelin' Godz have been favorable but it's been a mixed bag.
