Rausch Creek is an Offroad Park...pay-to-ride...kinda place in Pennsylvania. Set on top of a mountain with trails of multiple skill levels.
Despite what anyone may think, we (me and Joe) did have a good time. It was nice meeting a few fellow YOTATECHers, especially wanted to meet LUMPY and shake the hand of one of the guys who helped me the most, and of course XXXTREME22R was there too.
This is gonna be a short intro, because, really, who the hell cares what I say, it's the pics everyone wants to see.
OVERVIEW:
nice approx 90 minute ride from my house, Joe and I set out about 6am-ish, made a few stops and arrived at LUMPY's "cabin" right about 8am. He cooked us some breakfast (delicious) and then we were ouside changing my tires. Very nice to meet you and your other half, and Tim.
went to the park, met up with XXXTREME and the rest of the gang. I'll let everyone sign in and post up so I don't forget anyone.
wheeled some of the hardest my truck has EVER been beaten, definitely (and only proven by the ride home last night) capable and formidable it proved to be. Although when I was able to, I would take the "bypass" around bad stuff, but still, it was some pretty rough terrain. About 4 hours into it, and using lunch-time and the opportunity to go back to the camping area as an excuse, I bailed. didn't want to do any more damage, and of our group , i was the only one that did that. four hours of beating my truck was more than plenty.
met some nice guys from all over the states and even one guy from about 8 miles away from where i live.
DAMAGE REPORT.....still to be determined.
It drove straight on the way home, so I was thankful for that.
broke a weld on the exhaust pipe.....but hysterical as it is, it did not come apart until after my truck had cooled.
some scratches....but nothing exciting or major.
PICS are downloading.

My experience,
Got off work around 7am and got up to Rausch Creek at about 9. The first trail we wheeled on, i got my front crossmember hung up on a rock and almost rolled over. lol Then about ten minutes later my brakes decided to allow water to seep inside them causing them to fail. I was the only stock truck there and couldn't have done nearly the stuff the other trucks could have. After driving back to the parking lot, i hitched a ride back into the trails and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of my trip.

Ok...only a handful of pics are available right now, so here they area. movies are taking forever to download to photobucket
breakfast as made by LUMPY for me and Joe when we arrived at his "cabin"....i'll let him explain the "cabin"

this is when we all met at Rausch

cool pic (i took the bypass)...this was within the 1st hundred yards

awesome Tacoma

one of many scratches

looking across the parking lot...it is on top of a mountain

not sure what were doing here

"RED JEEP"...was LUMPY's ride as he had blown a headgasket on the trip and crammed in with Tim and LUMPY's other half. Tim was a really cool guy.
and that's LUMPY spotting for Tim as he did for me several times too.

i like this pic

and This....one of 2 flips i know of. they have a rock crawler competition course and i guess if you feel you can do it, you can take your truck there too. Joe and i were watching a different guy at a different spot looking like he was gonna flip and heard "BOOM" and a guy yelling......seatbelt held him upside down, he got out, unhurt, JEEP was bad.
so i just say, DORK! he went end over end

lots more pics to come and movies

RED JEEP (LUMPY) coming down the 1st steep hill

XXXTREME22R....navigating some of the one hundred zillion rocks....each one looking like a razor blade ready to slice ya......"don't go that way....."....hahahahahaha........his truck is quite capable.....maybe this is the last proof of a bumper where it's supposed to be

sweet 4runner...nice lift....another one that navigated quite well.
the rhythmic banging you hear are my keys banging around.....wasn't even aware of it yesterday

XXTREME navigating rocks

looks like you guys had a great trip! Unfortunately, my stock clutch at 225k didn't get replaced in time for this trip, and I really didn't feel like toasting it there LOL. I really hope we can all get together sometime this summer and go to Rausch. I'd really love to meet up with all you guys! By then, my rig should be ready to roll again, new clutch is coming soon and hopefully I can afford some new tires too... Glad you guys had a blast!
And just curious, why couldn't you break 60ish, Jerry?
