more mud for you guys
had a good trip, it was muddy as i expected, i got lost friday night, spent 4 hours trying to find camp, i almost ran out of gas
i got stuck twice, ground clearance pwnd me
sprayed the front of the runner with mud on the way into the park, uphill+wet clay+2wd xterra+4000lb load=mucho tire spin

settin up camp

saturday morning, tried the mini bog... got stuck, truck sits low enough to drag frame if the ruts are deep, and my tires will drag the truck and dig the front end down

damon tried pullin me out

not happenin, so, homeboy mike in the JK had to do it(the YJ just didnt have enough weight)

time for breakfast, guess who cooked

DUDE! IT WAS THIS BIG!

BACK TO THE TRAILS

choosing my route carefully, there was a pretty big ledge/drop off in front of where im standing, trying to choose a line that WONT drop my runner nose first into the ground

jeep first

now onto a muddy rutty hill climb

thisi s as far as damon got

of course i got farther

and i got myself stuck again

on the road again

going to test the muck, with my trusty dipstick

looks good to me, lets hit it

damon chooses a different route

aaannnnddd got pwnt by ground clearance, stuck, time to pull the runner back around

onward!

damon checkin the muck, he wanted to see me try and get thru this

thinkin about it

MADE IT!

my turn

this is where i spent 9 hours in my truck in quicksand over night during a previous trip

nope, we couldnt tell how deep it was, with knee high boots and a 36" wooden dowel
and it was all sand at the bottom, and very long, so if one of us got stuck even with 50' of strap, the one doing the pulling out would have to have been in the pond as well
we werent willing to risk both rigs getting stuck
btw, the guy in the jeep, damon, owns a 93 4runner, he is a member here, i also bought my blue runner off of him
