Quick Anza Borrego Run

Well, I got my camera working again, it now takes more than 1 picture at a time!

Me and a buddy took my rig out to Anza Borrego this weekend to go hiking/camping up in Coyote Canyon. It was beautiful. No wildflowers yet, but, we'll be going back within the next month.

Toyota was actually filming an FJ commercial on this trail. The guys were cool and they had 3 awesome FJ's, all with ARB bumpers and winches. They were some nice looking rigs.

Heres some pictures. It was a pretty mellow trail for the most part, these pictures are actually on the easy section during my decent. My buddy was spotting for me and didn't have the camera on a few of the heavier sections. Still fun of course!

Cool water crossing video

Awesome man, looks like the water crossings haven't gotten any deeper since I was out there about 3 weeks ago.

Want to try my new 4x4 on that sometime very soon.

Looks like fun, I can't wait to take my 4runner out to Anza Borrego. I wanted to go to Coyote Canyon tomorrow with a group from adventure4x4 but I just can't miss the superbowl

The water was pretty deep! I only been here once before, and there was hardly anything in it. Its nice to see a lot of water up there though...

There was a Jeep run yesterday. They all broke down though. hee hee. I had no idea how well known this place was. It was like a ghost town on Friday.

You guys think there'd be enough interest to do a yotatech run to AB sometime this season?

I'm pretty sure there would be. It seems most of the Yotatech San Diego crew has moved to another online forum.

Anza has a lot of trails, most are pretty easy-moderate, which I don't mind. I haven't got to explore as much as I would like to, and if I could go with at least one other vehicle, it would be perfect. I never wheel with anyone else. Kinda sketchy...

I have been on that trail more times than I have fingers. Actually there is a group out there today...I just had too much to do.

Looks like you had fun....when are you going to wheel with us?

I'm down for most any weekend you guys want to get out there. Although I'm new to 4wd, so I won't be the biggest help on any of the heavier stuff.

Yeah, I always say that I'd love to meet up with you guys, but its never happened. Its nice to go by yourself since you do what you want to do, and don't have to compromise, but I guess I should learn to be more social !!

I'm primarily a surfer, and since the surf usually sucks during the spring, I'll be in offroading mode. (Im a seasonal wheeler!! haha). I'll have to keep my eye on the trip gathering forum. Its bookmarked now.

I'll be going out again within the next 3-4 weeks... most likely a weekend and leaving Friday morning or Saturday. As long as you have a 4x4, you can make this trail and many others in the area.

Alright, just let me know, I'll bookmark the trip planning section as well.

I'd start a thread/plan myself, but I'd be a little over my head.
