Anza Borrego April 22nd

At the last minute on Saturday I found out that I had to be in La Jolla at 6:30 PM on Sunday. What better way to get there than a "direct" route through Fish Creek Wash to Sandstone Canyon??

Grabbing at air?.

Time to turn around?

That looks like a sweet trail. I really enjoy squeezing through narrow canyons like that. On foot and behind the wheel.

Have to add that route to my list if I am ever in the area.

I did not have time to look beyond the turnaround point in the picture but your truck will do great up to there.

a locked 2wd can do 99% of the trails in Anza borrego desert state park, but that is a long way from home for you. Or am I missing something?

I'm driving to colarado in month for vacation and its about 1100 miles from my house so subtract 75 miles or so and you have a rough idea of how far that is. ABDSP is about 1000 miles from CO. Utah Arizona and New Mex are prabably alot closer for you.

Where you going? did i miss the thread???

im sure it would take me at least 5 years to even break away from what CO has to offer before i explore most if it. so i def have a lot to do when i get out there wow at 1k miles, heck Denver is only 1600 miles from where im at, its like denver is only half way to the west coast almost.

sorry for pooping on this thread... me
Mike I'm heading to CO actually in 2 months, one of the last weeks in june. I'm going to a big ass house in CO that my other halfs family rented and we are gonna party like rock stars (and grannies and gramps having 50th aniversery). She has a big family is putting it mildly. I guess I'm gonna drive to CO via AZ and try and check out grand canyon and maybe some of the other parks in the 4 corners area on the way even though its gonna be hotter than hell. I'll hit you up in a few weeks for the corrizo creek clean up...

EDIT: and kinda relavant to this thread, you guys who went out to AB and posted these pics should try and come wheel corrizo creek area 19th of next month, there is a trip thread already for it...
