02-01-14 - WA - Lookout Snow Run
#1
Went up for a run to the lookout.

Started off not thinking there was going to be much snow. By the time we hit the gate it was getting nice and deep though

The snow had a breakable crust about 7-9" down, so we aired down to 3psi. I later let all of my air out

Julia liked talking to Matt on the CB

I let all of my air out. The MT's are super stiff.

Made it... 3,800ft elevation and about 2.5ft deep snow

I drove until I hit gravel at 0 psi, and started peeling the bead off the inside driving on bare road. When I went to air up had a bit of an ordeal getting the tire to take air. Some starting fluid and Matt's higher pressured OBA got it going though and made it home. Later in the evening I went and picked up a set of 37x12.50 BFG KM2's. I think they should work a bit better in the fluff. The Goodyear MT's just have ridiculously thick sidewalls
