Smile For all you PC Gamers....who wants to go to a 48 hour LAN party on the USS Hornet???

That's right - a 2 day LAN party on the WWII aircraft carrier USS Hornet (not the one that is at the bottom of the Pacific, but the one that is currently a living museum in Alameda, CA).

Our company, NVIDIA (maker of awesome processors for PCs, consoles, tablets and smartphones), is hosting its 6th "GeForce LAN" event in the SF Bay Area:

We're working closely with Electronic Arts to showcase Battlefield 3 in a 64 player tournament area (try THAT on a console!)

Figured some of you would be interested and need an excuse to road trip it out here if you don't live nearby....

Phil

Registration opens in the next couple days.

Yes it was. I built this computer in 01 and now 10 years later, many extra fans and a few hard drives, it is still working but far from flawlessness. Heck I still have a floppy connected to it and I never use it, too lazy to take it out I guess. I do not game anymore on the computer, all that is done on consoles like my Xbox.

Hey, so we sold out of our over 600 seats in about 2 hours....but there are plenty of "General Admission" passes available, which let you come on board both days, tour the ship, enter in tournaments, participate in free play, etc. When you consider the cost of a Hornet Museum Tour, the $20 cost for the LAN party is pretty darn good!
