Well if your interested, I might be able to help you make a shift cutoff controller. I'd like to make them and sell them. I think there would be a decent market for something like that. Easy to make too. I bet I could throw together a rough (but fully functional) prototype for under 50 bucks in parts. I could do most of the testing on my beater lexus ls400. It has roughly the same transmission.

I would be interested indeed. I was hoping this feature could be added to CM's shift controller setup since that would add a LOT to the value of it and it is already wired into all the correct places.

But the most important thing for me would just be the spark cut to save my transmission once I start chasing the stock block power record.

You are right it is not that hard to do, just takes a lot of planning and electrical engineering that I don't have.

So your definately wanting the paddle shift as well? Cuz in that case I would understand building off of CM's project. But if not, i don't see why we couldnt just start from scratch... That or use my controller, It has functional paddle shift.

Mine actually already controlls lockup as well. The only thing I would really need to do is remove some extra stuff. As it controls the pressure and downshift timing in the 4l60 too... But regardless of whos paddle shifters you want to use, I think it would be easier to leave it at 2 seperate projects at first and then combine them down the road. It would make troubleshooting and making adjustments much easier. It wouldn't be hard to add our project to CM's, but at the same time it wouldn't be hard to add CM's to our project...

Well, the paddle shifter would be a nice bonus for sure but are not a must for me. Only time I see myself using them is on the dyno or on the track really.

The fuel cut would be working every WOT shift though. My thinking is more they are both connected to the same place and 1 can almost do the others job with little modifications, why not combine them?

If you were looking to sell it, the market would be MUCH bigger for a unit that did both then 1 or the other.

For me the most important thing is the fuel cut though, I don't really want to have to rebuild my transmission again and I think that with a fuel cut it should easily stand up to ~400whp even in my 4500lb 4runner without a hitch.
