i did a search around here
aside from "muffler", deckplate is the most talked about topic on YT.
try again, read some, and then come back and ask some follow up questions.

Funny - I searched and came up with 424 threads with keyword for "deckplate".
Make that 425 including this one

Welcome to Yotatech!
I remember being a noob and all the helpful advice I received when I asked stupid questions. The deckplate mod will make your rig more responsive in the throttle and give you the feeling of more power, if not truly so.
Here is the link for the tech write-up for the deckplate mod:
http://www.top4runners.com/ja/perf.html#deckplate
It is really easy to do. If you can brush your teeth without severely injuring yourself you can do this mod. It took me about 45 minutes following the info on the link above.
You can get a deckplate at any boating place for about $6. If they don't have the color you want, get them to order one or paint it. You can get the sensor safe silicon at any parts store. I didn't bother with the screen over the deckplate to stop stuff from getting in, that is what the filter is supposed to do. When you do the deckplate, get a new Amsoil air filter. You can get one of those from www.gadgetonline.com.
I hope this helps noob!
Brian
EDIT: I am sorry that some took offense to my statements. As a result I have edited my post to remove the inferred inferrence. Please accept my apologies you snotheads.

Bob, I thought "OME vs Bilstein" was the most talked about tiopic after "deckplate".
Brian,
Don't go pointing fingers, even you're not above telling people to search.... see your reply here

No, I'll never feel guilty telling someone to search...
Hmmm, are you SURE you weren't trying to subtly infer that the people that replied before you were being snotty? I don't think I'm the only one that would draw that conclusion.
[blatant plug] Your post wasn't that hard to find, I just used the "search" feature. [/blatant plug]
I remember being a noob and who was helpful when I asked stupid questions and who was a snothead. Fortunately there are more helpful people here than snots!

Edit
I edited my post accordingly. It was not my intention to offend anyone but simply offer a perspective of how I remember it felt upon posting for the first few times. Most were welcoming, but it only takes one or two to ruin the image of many. Again, my apologies if anyone took it personally.
Have a nice weekend!
