eh, what can I say, I have no life. haha.
But no, this is what another member emailed me directly. Idk if the parts are exactly the same since a 99 is a 2nd generation and mine is a 3rd but it should be pretty close.

thanks EMTjermey...another question..this is my first time doing any sort of mod this car. how long do you think it might take me? from begining to end? so i know my time frame so i can get to work or school without reassembling?

Well considering i ed mine up 20 minutes into it, its hard to say. I've heard anywhere from 45 mins-2 hours depending on your experience with cars. I'm just gonna have my mechanic do the gauge cluster. I really don't need to be breaking things up in there. It'll end up like my girlfriend's POS chevy. (Her speedometer and tachometer are out- the car is 3 years old). haha

My experience with the door controls [1994 truck] is that you really can't get to the lamps that illuminate the switches they seem to be part of the switch itself.
If I ever get a second set of switches I may try pulling them apart to find out but they are just too rare [2dr] up here these days to chance it.

I would recommend going with the Tri-Power 3 LED bulbs from www.autolumination.com. I have them behind my gauges and there are virtually no hotspots whatsoever. They are really brights and they do a great job of spreading the light.

Well i took my dash apart and took out the stock lights behind the gauges. But the base of the stock light is a lot bigger than the tri-power. I ended up putting those as my signals and behind my climate controls. Now i just need a bigger based bulb.

If that is the case then the bulbs you need are the #194. Many of the older 4th generation 4runners use the #194 instead of the #74 behind the gauges. Autolumination sells the #194's as well. I would recommend getting the 5 LED matrix bulbs because they spread light in all directions and there shouldn't be any hotspots. I hope this helps!

how did you do your A/C cluster? i've already done my main guage cluster but the back of my A/C lights are covered in orange filter paper. i tried scratching it off with a knife but i ended up goin right through and messing up the icons. also, what color were your interior lights before you changed them out?
