OK so I got stranded on my way to texas and hopefully someone can help. I am in the process of building up an 02 tacoma pre runner. It has the 3.4 in it with 130000. I was in the process of re doing the interior and had the dash ripped out and everything unplugged. I just filled up to drive to texas from utah and put 17.9 gallons in. I was driving away from the gas station and a light kicked on saying RR DIFF LOCK. Mind you I just plugged my gauges in and set them on the metal. After filling up the light kicked off and my engine light turned on. My car started to sputter and I pulled over and turned it off. It has never givin me a single problem mechanical and now it cranks and sounds like its working fine but will not turn over. I undid my fuel line at the filiter and there is fuel pushing through it just fine. It started up just fine but as soon as I plugged in the gauges is when problems arose. I towed it over to tunex and the guy could not get his computer to read. I disconnected the battery for an hour and tried with no avail. same sound. It cranks and cranks sounding like it should start right up and nothing happens. Any ideas whats going on? Air bags are disconnected and nothing electronic is plugged in in the dash. its been running fine until now. Here are my guesss. I might of fried the computer when I set the gauges on bare metal. Possibly fuel pump. Who knows what. I am out of money and hoping to be able to fix it to drive down to texas. Any thoughts? It is now sitting outside my friends house and im in texas after taking a bus so I need to go back and get to work. Thanks for any help in advance.
