Gentlemen,
I'm not trying to start anything, It just ticks me off to no end that there are always those that since they read every post, make those of us that post a "simple" question are waisting space on this site.
This site has too much information on it. When you do a search you come up with a ton of pages to mill through.

I also post on a Nova site and in Four years have never seen the "look it up comment".

Don’t worry about it. Post all you like. I post more questions on here than most. Searching through here is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. I’m always glad to help no matter how repetitive the question.

Those of you who do say look it up, keep it to yourself.

Wow, did you guys read that the wrong way.
I didn't say look it up, I said do some readin'
And THEN I gave an honest answer.
The guy asked a simple question that DOES NOT have a simple answer.
Or rather, the simple answer is NO.
Did you notice that no one gave a list of things you can yank out out from under the hood that will improve your mileage?
Geesh!
Shoulda gave a Save the Environment lecture instead!
Peace!

I guess there is no need to post another question, All the answers have already been answered.

"look it up son"

Yes dad
Quite the chip on your shoulder there eh noob? What did you expect? You posted a painfully generic question and figured the members of board were dying to go through it again for you because you are intimidated by the number of returns a search gives you? Then you proceed to lecture the board about how things should be?

Break down what you are really asking and then ask again when you have specific questions. When the question is "I wanna do some stuff, what should I do?", it's not surprising you don't get an answer that fits whatever preconceived notion you have.

I think what people are saying is that you should spend some time doing your homework, so that you can speak intelligently on the topic at hand, then ask questions that augment that knowledge, rather than just asking for someone else to do the research for you.

You want an honest answer to "What items/ Systems can I remove from under my Hood?"?

The answer is Everything. You CAN remove anything you see under there. Each piece has an upside and a downside to removing it.

Now, do you have more specific questions? Until then, this thread really belongs in "Off Topic", because it has no tech value.

...and... as an aside, tampering with or removing Federally mandated emissions control equipment can be a crime. I doubt you are going to find many who are going to blurt out specifics about anything they may have done when your question is so generic, your attitude so combative and you don't seem to like any of the answers that have been provided so far.

(edited to correct a spelling error)

I agree with Rob on this one. And for the record, I can't stand Greenpeace, but I like clean air.

Not all, but yours has. If you had searched, you'd have your answer by now. [/not as a moderator]
