Battery Discharge warning light!

Well after a long day of mudding/ offroading my Discharge warning light came on. I just finished cleaning out the engine bay as best i could so hopefully that will fix it, but I am not counting on it. The alternator was covered in mud. Everything runs fine, no startup problems are anything. Anything yall think I should try? Thanks

happened to me when i went through a DEEEEEP mud hole a few months ago. water came over the hood and everything.
most likely you killed your alt. i got a reman for 180 and lifetime warranty. i draine 2 batterries to get home. i would assume you are on borrowed time!

All done, switched out the alternator. No more warning light. I will think twice before I try something that deep again!
