Anyone take there 4th gen running boards off yet? I would especially like to see one with no cladding, im think of removing mine. If anyone has pictures i would love to see. I am also thinking of removing the roof rack. But how would i seal it up? any ideas?

cladding whore here but those rb's came off in a hurry!!! lol...

must say it looks better without it... but now i have some demello sliders so it looks tougher! hehe

the rails on top comes off and you'll have to find some caps to cover (prob can get from stealer if u wanted em real bad). they're pretty easy to remove (i believe u just twist the base caps). not sure of the details but it's relatively easy.

ExtremeAire Compressor

Good Times- Can you tell me about the ExtremeAire Compressor?

Where did you get it, cost and install info would be great.

Thanks.

Here's their company site

http://www.extremeoutback.com/Compressors.htm

The cost is shown online. FYI, you can get this from Mike at Extreme Off Road as well (not sure what the price quote will be thru Mike though but it'll give ya some ideas).

Installation was relatively easy (they provided the wiring diagram). I purchased the compressor and some of the fittings that I needed (did alot of asking via email - they were great in answering everything btw).

It's abit pricy (you can definitely get a powertank or something else) but i just wanted something permanent that i would be able to rely myself on when i needed it also by reading alot of about different compressors I think this is one of the best out there!

hope this helps

Thanks Lance. Where did you mount yours? Do you have any pics?

That portable one looks pretty slick as well.

I mounted mine in the engine bay on the left hand side next to the air filter section.

from what I remember, I don't know how much room you have with the v6 of yours. I believe the engine cover takes up alot of space so you might be very limited in where you can mount it.

Check out this thread as it'll show some pix of my compressor

Another spot I suggest is where the front bumper is: mount it horizontally across the cross beam by the radiator. I'm planning to move it to that location as soon as someone makes me a cool steel bumper

Good Luck

Lance
