Another wiring question: Help me get a LED working with my locker (schematic attached
Some of you may or may not know that I had some struggles with wiring my swapped e-locker. To make a long story short, I finally got it working.
Please take a look at the attached schematic and tell me, based on what you see, if the LED will illuminate when the switch is pressed (to lock the axle). Yes, I know there are better ways to do this, but I am not going to tear my new harness out. So, let me know what you think.
Thanks a ton!

I doubt it would work, the LED and resistor will drop the entire 12V supplied and the ECU will get no signal, assuming you get any current to flow at all. Why not just put the LED in parallel with the ECU signal, LED from the switch to ground and a parallel wire (existing,) from the switch to the ECU?

Roger-
If you or anyone else has a quick second to whip that up on paint, that would be great. Wiring is like math to me, I just don't get it unless a teacher can show me what they are doing on the whiteboard.

From the battery (+), through the diode (--->|--- ) then to ground.
Does that make any sense to you?

Yeah, you guys helped a lot. For some reason I visualize things backwards sometimes (hence my 3 month e-locker wiring ordeal )
I will tackle this little LED dilemna this weekend.
