9.4:1 Compression w/ 5 Boost?
Could my 22RE handle 5 lbs of boost with its 9.4:1 compression, or would it run to lean? Thanks.
Also, does anyone know what all components come with the LCE 22RE Turbo Kit? Thanks.

According to B&M and a few other sources I've found, you are pretty much limited to 12.5:1 effective compression with todays pump gas (premium) at sea level. This is a little higher than the 12.0:1 static compression limit for the same gas because it isn't a constant condition. As you go up in altitiude, these limits increase a little (I can run 13:1 with no problems here). Calculating 5 lbs of boost on top of a 9.4:1 engine results in 12.6:1 effective compression. You may run into some detonation issues where you're at (I know Fayetteville isn't that high up) but you may be OK with a good knock sensor. Whether the ECU & injectors can keep up with the fuel demand is another question altogether that I don't readily have an answer for.
