3rd gen 4runner - OME 3" kit - will 305's fit?
I currently have a 3" spring + shock Toytec OME lift on a 2000 Limited.
I have a local friend selling some 305/70/16 tires, practically new.
If I get some 16 x 8 rims with 4.5" backspacing, will they fit without rubbing? Or am I stuck with 285/75/16?

Rubbing isn't the worst thing in the world, as long as its just some plastic that I can trim away. I'm concerned about rubbing on the control arms or other suspension components.
This guy doesn't seem to have any problems: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/3...z-pics-113170/
According to this thread, I need a 16 x 8 rim with 4" of backspacing to accomplish those tires w/o rubbing. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/w...0-bs-ok-99871/

my bad, didn't read the bit about the new wheels. from what you've listed you should actually be fine. worst case scenario pick up some half inch wheel spacers for assurance
